Orange Liberia and ZTE have completed a 3-month project to deploy 128 rural base stations in Liberia, extending network coverage to underserved areas. The new sites support 2G voice services and 4G data services using 800MHz and 900MHz bands, and incorporate solar energy, smart lithium batteries, and AI energy-saving software. This initiative benefits over 580,000 rural subscribers and aims to support economic and social development in Liberia's rural communities.
