NASA astronaut Frank Rubio supports colleagues Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, extended in space due to Starliner issues, switching to SpaceX in February.
NASA record-holder astronaut Frank Rubio, who experienced an unexpectedly long spaceflight, has been supporting and encouraging his two colleagues, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been stuck in space for an extended period. Williams and Wilmore were initially scheduled to return to Earth in June on Boeing's Starliner capsule after their first test flight, but due to thruster problems and helium leaks, NASA decided to switch their flight to SpaceX, which will take place in February. Rubio, who has experience dealing with extended spaceflights, praised his colleagues for maintaining a positive attitude and handling the situation well.
