Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) will increase law enforcement presence Aug 30-Sept 2, aiming to deter speeding, impaired driving, and ensure seat belt usage during the Labor Day weekend. High-visibility patrols and safety checkpoints will be implemented to minimize fatal crashes and promote safe driving. Last year's Labor Day period saw 147 crash investigations with four fatalities.
