Two Minnesota women, My Hoang Thi Van and Kathy Nguyen, have been charged with organized retail theft in connection with a Lululemon shoplifting scheme in Minneapolis. The women allegedly orchestrated thefts of thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise from the store and funneled the stolen goods through a suburban nail salon. Corporate investigators for Lululemon alerted the police after noticing high shoplifting losses at their store in downtown Minneapolis. The police tracked down the suspects and found numerous bags of stolen merchandise and removed anti-theft tags at the suspects' house. The total value of the stolen merchandise is still being calculated but is expected to exceed $5,000.
