42 people from Houston, Texas, charged for breaking into over 200 pharmacies across 31 states, stealing an estimated $12 million worth of controlled substances. The stolen drugs, including hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, Adderall, and Xanax, were taken to Houston and sold illegally, according to the DEA. The investigation began in 2022, with a total of 34 pharmacy break-ins reported. Nebraska had the most incidents with 17, followed by Iowa with 11.
