A British Columbia man, Richard Lawrence Bezanson Jr., received an 180-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to six charges of driving while prohibited or with his license suspended, and a dangerous driving Criminal Code offence. The Vancouver Provincial Court judge also banned Bezanson from driving for three years, requiring him to pay $1,800 in fines, and a 15% victim surcharge on that amount. Bezanson faced 32 counts of prohibited or suspended driving and 19 breaches of court undertakings or release orders.
