Ireland's inflation rate fell to 1.1% YoY in August, with energy prices declining 9.5% over the year.

Ireland's consumer price inflation slowed to 1.1% in the year to August, down from 1.5% in the previous year. Energy prices fell by 0.6% in August and 9.5% over the past year, while food prices increased by 0.1% in the same month and 2% over the past year. The annual inflation rate for the eurozone was 2.6% during the same period. The index excluding energy and unprocessed food rose by 2.3% since August last year.
