British Columbia's Auditor General, Michael Pickup, has concluded that there is no evidence of conflict of interest in the handling of provincial grants for the zero-emission vehicle sector, following an investigation into claims by electric-hybrid truck maker Edison Motors. The investigation found that accounting firm MNP did not write grant applications for clients, influence the evaluation process to benefit clients, or use its administration of the program to recruit clients for other services. The provincial government is moving forward with the grant program as normal.
