Australia's opposition leader vows to reopen Kyiv embassy if elected.

Australia's opposition has vowed to reopen the nation's closed embassy in Kyiv if elected, with opposition foreign affairs spokesperson, Simon Birmingham, visiting Ukraine and criticizing the current Labor government for not reopening it thus far. Approximately 70 countries have reopened physical presence in Ukraine, leaving Australia as an outlier. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his desire to see Australia's ambassador return to Ukraine.
