16-year-old Jamaican high school student Jahmari Reid from Trelawny was killed by a shark during a solo spearfishing trip. His body was found in waters north of the island with injuries consistent with a shark attack. Shark attacks are rare, with only three unprovoked attacks reported in Jamaica since 1749.
