TMC leader Derek O'Brien has expressed concern over delays in reconstituting Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committees (DPSCs) to Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, JP Nadda. O'Brien highlights 13% of bills passed in Rajya Sabha from 2014-24 were referred to parliamentary committees, compared to 16% in the 17th Lok Sabha. He also mentions reduced working days of Parliament and urges for immediate constitution of DPSCs to ensure thorough scrutiny of legislation.
