Tata Motors, India's first top ten global automotive firm, plans to buy battery packs for its electric vehicles from China's Octillion Power Systems. This move aims to address performance issues and diversify the supply and technology base, as the company currently sources batteries from Tata AutoComp Systems. Tata Motors has a 68% share of the electric vehicle segment in India, despite a 2.92% drop in EV sales in July.
