SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara retired after a transformative four-year tenure, during which SBI's annual profit increased 200% to Rs 61,077 crore in FY24 from Rs 20,410 crore in FY21. Under his leadership, SBI surpassed a cumulative profit of Rs 1.63 trillion over the past four years, compared to Rs 1.45 trillion in the previous 64 years. SBI's net NPA fell from 1.59% in Q1 of FY21 to 0.57% in Q1 of FY25, and the lender's deposits grew by over 41% to Rs 49,01,726 crore in Q1 of FY25. SBI remains India's seventh-largest listed company by market capitalization at around Rs 7.3 lakh crore.
