Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) appeals to the Federal Government to reduce interest rates on loans for its members to 1% at the 10th Annual General Meeting, stating the current rates are detrimental to businesses. MAN also requests the Central Bank of Nigeria to direct commercial banks to reduce interest rates on industrial loans, with the Bank of Industry asked to further reduce its lending rates for industries. The association also calls for the harmonization of taxes and levies at federal, state, and local government levels, as well as government support for struggling industrial establishments. Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq pledges continued support for the association to boost the state's economy.
