Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced a $5.6M investment for 49 projects to strengthen the state's food supply chain, with funding from the federal American Rescue Plan. The Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure program will improve infrastructure for 8 projects, while the remaining 41 will strengthen the middle of Kansas' food supply chain operations. The grants aim to create diverse local and regional market options, boost economic opportunities, and improve infrastructure, producer aggregation points, and product storage.
