Fonterra invests NZ$75m in Studholme site expansion for high-protein nutrition products, targeting the $10bn global market.

New Zealand's Fonterra dairy giant will invest NZ$75m ($53m) to expand its Studholme site in South Island, focusing on high-protein nutrition products. This move aims to capitalize on the growing global high-protein dairy market, projected to reach nearly $10bn in the next four years with a 7% annual growth rate. Studholme's expansion will support South Island milk processing and support the conversion of its coal boiler to a coal-free alternative by 2037 in line with Fonterra's commitment.
