30 dogs, one cat, and two chickens were rescued from a flooded home in San Ysidro due to a plumbing issue. The animals are now in the care of the Humane Society's San Diego, El Cajon, Escondido, and Oceanside campuses, with four being taken to emergency veterinary hospitals. The Humane Society is over capacity for dogs and experiencing an infectious disease outbreak. They are urging the public to adopt, foster, or reunite stray pets to alleviate overcrowding.
