Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated Mumbai's first double-decker flyover in Mira Bhayander, Thane district. This 1-km long structure combines a metro viaduct and a road flyover, reducing traffic congestion and travel time by up to 10 minutes. Advanced technology such as I-girder precast elements and Tyre Straddle Carrier technology was used to minimize traffic disruption during construction. The flyover is part of MMRDA's initiative to improve urban transportation in Mumbai and its suburbs.
