Bharti Airtel completes buyback exercise, increasing its shareholding in Indus Towers to 50.005%.

Indus Towers, India's largest telecom tower infrastructure provider, is set to become a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel after the completion of a buyback exercise. Airtel's shareholding in Indus Towers will increase to 50.005% following its buyback of up to 56,774,193 equity shares, representing 2.107% of the total number of equity shares in the paid-up share capital. This move follows Bharti Airtel's acquisition of an additional 1% stake in Indus Towers for Rs 862 crore, taking its ownership to 48.95%.
