Bangladesh's interim government reassigned responsibilities for its five advisers, reducing Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus' duties from 27 ministries to 6, including Cabinet Division, Defence, Civil Aviation & Tourism. Advisers Salehuddin Ahmed, Hasan Arif, Brigadier General (Retd) M Sakhawat Hossain, and Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshed received additional portfolios after the fall of Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government.
