Forestry students at Algonquin College's Pembroke Campus were awarded silver rings in a tradition marking their success in the program, commitment to a code of ethics for forestry professionals, and contributions to the local economy. The Forestry Technician program, starting in 1968, has evolved to address wildfires and climate change. The silver ring ceremony fosters camaraderie among students and alumni in the industry.
