31% of UK drivers aged 18-26 admit to filming themselves while driving and sharing the content on social media, according to a study by IAM RoadSmart. The survey also found 41% drove while tired, 16% texted while driving, and 16% drove over 90 mph. The charity believes a graduated driving licence system, which imposes restrictions on new drivers for a set period, could address these issues. The UK Department for Transport considered introducing such a system in 2019, but suspended the plan in 2020.
