Singapore Airlines to operate at Sydney's new Western Sydney International Airport in 2026.
Singapore Airlines will be the first international airline to operate at Sydney's new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), scheduled to open in 2026. The $5.3bn airport, located at Badgerys Creek, is expected to serve 10 million passengers annually and has surpassed the 80% completion mark. The announcement comes a day after the federal government unveiled its white paper for the aviation industry, recommending improved consumer protections, including an ombudsman that would force airlines to pay compensation to travellers for delayed or cancelled flights.
