Ryanair CEO forecasts 5% summer fares decline, reduces traffic at Berlin Brandenburg airport due to government demands.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary has revised the summer airfare outlook, stating that European short-haul weakness has levelled out and average fare declines will now be a moderate 5% decrease instead of a potential double-digit drop. The company will also reduce 20% of its traffic at Berlin's Brandenburg airport due to unmet demands from the German government, including reversing an aviation tax increase and lowering air traffic control charges. Ryanair's Berlin-based aircraft will be cut from nine to seven, with six routes being eliminated.
