Green ammonia market set to surge, with a CAGR of 93% to $5.7 billion by 2027, driven by growing renewable energy demand. AM Green Ammonia, a subsidiary of Greenko Group, has made a final investment decision (FID) for a 1 million-tonne green ammonia project in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The project aims to reach a 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) production capacity by 2030. AM Green Ammonia has secured 1,300 MW of round-the-clock carbon-free power via solar and wind hybrid capacity and a pumped storage project (PSP). The majority of the project's output is slated for European markets, with a target for various green hydrogen applications.
