Lyft has introduced its Pet Mode feature, allowing passengers to bring their pets during rides by matching them with drivers comfortable transporting animals. In response to high demand for this service, the feature charges a $4 fee plus tax and requires pets to be secured in a carrier, on a blanket, or at the rider's feet. Lyft's new offering is available nationwide and partners with animal shelters and rescue organizations to promote adoption.
