Flint, Michigan is recovering from a ransomware attack on August 14, with Mayor Sheldon Neeley announcing that key data has been mostly restored. The city has installed a redesigned network with Next Generation firewalls and advanced software security on servers and computers, while working with external partners to ensure systems are tested and reviewed before going live. No deadline has been set for full restoration, but operations are steadily being restored.
