Embraer sells 6 A-29 Super Tucano combat planes to Uruguay's Air Force, first since 1981.
Embraer has announced the sale of up to six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to Uruguay's Air Force, marking the country's first combat plane purchase since 1981. The aircraft will aid in strengthening Uruguay's airspace surveillance and threat response capabilities, joining Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Paraguay as the sixth South American nation to operate the aircraft. The deliveries of the aircraft, along with mission equipment, integrated logistics services, and a flight simulator, are scheduled from 2025.
