The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) launched its new flagship, the CCGS Naalak Nappaaluk, an Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel (OOSV), at the North Vancouver Shipyards. The OOSV is the fourth ship launched under Seaspan's National Shipbuilding Strategy and will serve as a floating laboratory for marine research and scientific studies. The vessel features advanced technology and is designed to conduct various marine research activities, including environmental assessments, oceanographic surveys, and icebreaking capabilities. The launch event took place during an opening ceremony at the shipyards.
