Cambodia supports thousands of landmine survivors, with 19,000 lives lost and 45,000 injured since 1979.

Cambodian Senior Minister Ly Thuch announced at a regional conference that the country has been supporting thousands of landmine survivors, reintegrating them into society. The Cambodian Mine Action Authority (CMAA), the government, and international partners are credited for the progress made. Over 19,000 human lives have been lost and 45,000 injured due to landmines since 1979, with 1,700 square kilometers of land still requiring clearance.
