A House task force, consisting of both Democrats and Republicans, visited the site of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. The bipartisan group aims to understand the security lapses that led to the shooting, ensure accountability, and prevent future occurrences. The task force, led by Republican Chairman Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, was created in response to the July 13th incident, in which Trump was injured, one person was killed, and two others sustained injuries. The Secret Service has already placed at least five members on administrative leave following the attack.
