70-year-old Jackie Chan selected as torchbearer for Paralympic opening ceremony in Paris.
70-year-old martial arts actor Jackie Chan has been selected as one of the torchbearers for the Paralympic opening ceremony in Paris. He will carry the flame on Wednesday afternoon in the French capital, just hours before the opening ceremony, which will take place outside the Stade de France and involve a parade down the Champs-Elysees. Jackie Chan joins French actress Elsa Zylberstein and dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millepied in the torch relay. The flame for the Paralympics was lit on Saturday in Stoke Mandeville, UK, and made its way to France via the Channel Tunnel.
