Verizon prepares year-round for extreme weather situations, including hurricanes, by conducting drills, fortifying network infrastructure, and deploying portable network assets, generators, and satellite-based portable assets. The Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team, comprising former first responders and military personnel, is ready to assist public safety agencies with communication tools during emergencies. In the first seven months of 2024, the team has responded to nearly 800 requests from over 400 agencies in 44 states.
