A two-storey building in Lagos's Ebute-Metta was severely damaged by a fire on Sunday afternoon. The fire began on the top floor and affected a two-bedroom flat, one room and parlour self-contained unit, and a single room. Despite the intense blaze, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The swift response of the LASEMA Fire Unit, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and the Federal Fire Service helped to extinguish the fire, and ongoing dampening operations continue.
