Pakistani court acquits Farhan Asif of UK anti-immigrant riots disinformation charges.

A Pakistani court acquitted Farhan Asif, a suspect accused of spreading disinformation that allegedly fueled anti-immigrant riots in the UK. Asif faced charges after a misinformation campaign linked him to a website, Channel3Now, that falsely implicated a migrant in the killing of three young girls in a knife attack in Southport, UK. Asif was running a web publication and was arrested in Lahore. The court acquitted him after the investigation agency could not find any basis to prove his involvement in any illegal activity.
