A motorcyclist in Kansas City was critically injured when he refused to stop for police, driving against traffic and colliding with a BMW. The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on August 24, when the motorcyclist, not wearing a helmet, ignored a traffic stop attempt on a black Honda Nighthawk near Independence Ave and Lawndale Ave. The rider was thrown from his bike at the intersection of St. John and Lawndale Avenues and is currently in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.
