Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) captured a hyena in Migori's Lichota-Suna West subcounty, halting its attacks on livestock and causing sleepless nights for residents. After several attempts since July, KWS managed to trap the animal, prompting gratitude from locals, particularly as schools reopened. In response, Migori County plans to allocate a budget for fencing off Lichota forest to prevent further wild animal incursions into residential areas.
