2023 was a successful year for high school volleyball in Minnesota, and Mount Vernon High School's team in Iowa is expected to dominate the 2024 season, as they are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A and have six starters returning from last year's 35-5 team. In Iowa, 12 top returning players from the Gazette area are set to make an impact in the 2024 season, including Chloe Meester, the reigning Class 3A state player of the year, and Emma Kruger, who ranked first-team all-state and Class 3A player of the year.
