Indian stock exchanges BSE, NSE, NCDEX, MCX, and MSE issued a joint advisory urging investors to exercise caution and avoid joining social media groups offering stock recommendations and using fake investment apps. The platforms and apps are suspected to be involved in transnational financial fraud, promising unrealistic returns. Investors have been advised to verify the genuineness of trading apps and websites and report suspected fraud communications to the Chakshu facility.
