3A Composites and Halifax Vogel Group face a class action lawsuit for allegedly marketing dangerous combustible cladding as safe. The aluminium composite panels were linked to major blazes globally, including the Grenfell Tower fire in London, and have been banned in Australia for not meeting fire safety standards. The class action claims the cladding was not of merchantable quality and that misleading claims were made in marketing about its fire safety. Both companies deny responsibility and blame architects for not ensuring the material was used safely in building designs.
