Ciarán Carruthers, Crown Resorts CEO, resigns amid anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism law breaches; David Tsai to act as CEO.
Ciarán Carruthers, CEO of Crown Resorts, has announced his departure after a two-year tenure marked by a multimillion-dollar rehabilitation of Crown's three casino precincts in response to anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism law breaches. Carruthers, who also reduced the company's workforce by over 1,000 employees, will step down from his role. Macau casino veteran David Tsai, Crown Resorts' president and COO, will serve as acting CEO until a permanent replacement is found.
