Chhattisgarh's BJP government has recommended a CBI probe into the Mahadev Online Book app case, involving former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel and app promoters Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. The decision to involve the CBI was taken due to its ability to handle larger conspiracies and extradite accused individuals from abroad. The state police filed an FIR on March 4, naming Baghel as an accused, and the CBI will file a case based on this FIR and preliminary case documents, which also include around 70 other FIRs registered in various police stations in Chhattisgarh.
