Avon Intermediate School East student brings handgun to school, confiscated by police.
An Avon Intermediate School East student brought a handgun to school and displayed it on a school bus. Two students reported the incident to a teacher, and Avon School Police Department officers and administrators intervened, confiscating the unloaded, locked gun from the student's locker. The student was removed from school, and classes continued as usual while the school investigates and applies discipline.
