The Alexander family at Gippsland Angus saw a $400 average steer price increase to $1810 per pen.

Gippsland Angus graziers, the Alexander family, experienced a $400 average steer price increase to $1810 per pen at Bairnsdale's fortnightly store sale, with top pens nearing 500 cents/kg. The improved results stem from well-bred lines of calves and a reduced proportion of secondary cattle in the market. In Sarina, North Queensland, 551 head were sold with firm prices for females and slightly easier prices for steers, aligning with other local sales.
