20-year-old man faces charges after a firearm and ammunition were found during a search by Gardaí in Dublin on August 23. The suspect was one of three men arrested in Finglas, Dublin 11, during routine patrols by the Divisional Drugs Unit. The other two men were released without charge, while a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The seized firearm and ammunition have been sent to the Garda Ballistics Unit for further analysis, and Chief Superintendent Majella Armstrong praised the arresting officers for their efforts in removing another dangerous weapon from the streets.
