24th August, a home invasion in Renfrew resulted in a resident being seriously injured after intruders broke in, assaulted them and stole cash from their car. The victim was transported to the hospital and is recovering. The robbers later set the victim's car on fire on Briscoe Road. Two people were arrested, with ongoing investigations involving various police units. The OPP has urged anyone with information to contact them while maintaining anonymity option through Crime Stoppers.
