Rochester School District in Minnesota, among 22 receiving $1m in federal grants through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, has been awarded $43,000. Grant funds aim to aid students experiencing homelessness, with services including collaboration with early childhood programs, bilingual support, professional development, resource provision, and improved enrollment and identification. Around 100 students in the Rochester School District currently face homelessness, with officials expecting this number to rise during the school year.
