85% of PA adults prioritize economy, inflation in presidential vote; Harris & Biden introduce "lowering costs" campaign.
85% of adults in Pennsylvania, a key swing state, rank the economy and inflation as highly important factors in their vote for president, according to an ABC News-Washington Post/Ipsos poll. Vice President Kamala Harris is aware of the challenge of addressing economic concerns, particularly high prices that impact daily life. In response, Harris and President Joe Biden have introduced a "lowering costs" campaign with policies aimed at reducing daily expenses for citizens, such as negotiating drug prices for seniors, regulating "junk fees" on products, and canceling student loans for nearly 4.8 million people. However, these policies may not be enough to sway voters who are directly impacted by increasing prices on a daily basis.
