Anambra State NMA doctors end indefinite strike after kidnapped colleague's release.

Anambra State doctors of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) have called off their indefinite strike after the release of kidnapped colleague Dr. Stephen Ezeh. The strike began on August 22 and was announced by the NMA after Ezeh's abduction on August 15. The association urges Governor Chukwuma Soludo to declare a state of emergency on security in Anambra, as growing insecurity and kidnapping negatively impact the state's economy and healthcare delivery. NMA members have been directed to resume clinical services at their various establishments.
