44-year-old Mira Mesa man, Son Thanh Nguyen, arrested for 2 unsuccessful attempts to steal cash from ATMs using improvised explosive devices on June 8 at University City's California Coast Credit Union and June 28 at Rancho Bernardo's First Citizen's Bank. Surveillance footage led to his arrest; evidence of explosive devices found at home. Initial court appearance scheduled.
